Bulk Legos

legos If you are a person who is an avid Lego enthusiast, this article may be of interest to you with information you may not know. But, more than likely, you already know a lot of this. For a person who is just entering the wonderful world of Lego, we’re going to talk about the bulk Legos you need.

You may be thinking that you are not going to need bulk Legos because you bought a kit that contains the exact number of each piece that you need. But, as a person gets more into the whole Lego experience, they tend to need Legos, and lots of them, to expand most projects.

As a Lego lover a person will usually have all kind of Legos around their hobby area, house, room, or wherever else they work on the Lego projects. Some people have a specific area where they work on Legos. For other people, this is bonding time with family and the Legos are all over the place. Wherever the Legos are kept, and no matter how careful a person is, some pieces are going to get lost.

The process for getting bulk Legos is basically the same as getting parts. One must do the necessary detective work depending on the types of parts they need and then proceed to get them. If a specific piece, from a specific set, is needed one can always go straight to Lego customer service and they will tell you how to get special parts through the company.

lego buildingFor a person who just wants to increase their Legos and doesn’t care about the color, there are new 1200 Bulk packs sold that contain pieces that include fixtures, implements, and bricks. These pieces are not themed and all of the colors aren’t in the box. But, for a person who just needs some extra Legos for a foundation or other project where color won’t matter, it’s a great choice.

Some theme bulk packs are sold. These are usually in 600 or 800 packs and contain the most lost parts of that theme. The Star Wars theme is one of the more popular bulk packs being sold. For specific parts for a theme, one can contact Lego and if it’s not a really old theme, they will probably have the pieces that a person is looking for.

Another option for getting Legos in bulk, and again, this is not theme specific, you can go to a local Lego store and get them from the Lego wall or visit one of the on-line sites and get multi-colored bricks in different colors. Many of the on-line sites also sell used Legos at a better price than new ones so that is also an option.

If a specific color is needed that is not the yellow, red, white, green, black, blue that is found in most bulk packs, then you will need to get creative. One option is to buy a bulk pack and pick the color(s) that you want out of it, then sell the rest through an auction. The other option is to buy a bulk pack and pick the color(s) that you want and give the rest to a young family member as a gift. The odds are they won’t notice the missing color for some time.

The beauty of buying bulk lego boxes is that it doesn’t ruin anything if a few pieces get lost!

It also helps increase the creativity of the children using the lego! I love technics too but there is definitely a place for just having a huge supply of lego to do as you wish!

When I was young I had tons of lego and after a while it all ended up in a huge box!

    We built some awesome models!!!!
